AC Inputs

This inverter/charger has the ability to connect two separate AC inputs - one for grid and one for generator - simultaneously, making it easy to switch between power sources. Each AC input can be programmed for specific voltage and frequency settings according to the user's preferences.

Additionally, the user has control over the minimum and maximum thresholds for switching from grid to generator or inverter. The generator can also be automatically started through a "Status Relay" contact, which can be set to activate when grid power is lost.

Solar Input

The EVOTM can easily incorporate solar charging into its power system by connecting a solar charge controller directly to the Battery Charger external DC Input. When using ONLINE mode, it is possible to prioritize Batteries/Inverter over the grid, making it ideal for users who want to primarily operate on solar power while still having access to the grid when needed.

Battery Charger

This inverter/charger features a 3 or 4 stage charging process that includes Equalization, which must be manually initiated. During the Bulk stage, an adaptive algorithm is used to evaluate the battery's condition, and subsequent stages are based on that condition rather than a set time frame for Absorption and Float. This prevents overcharging and extends the life of the batteries. Additionally, the charging process can be programmed to activate at specific battery voltage thresholds.

Transfer Switch

The inverter seamlessly switches to grid power with zero transfer time. Once grid power is detected, the inverter syncs with the wave form and transfers instantly at the zero crossing point. When switching from grid to inverter, the process takes less than 16ms. In case of grid loss, the transfer relay switches to the inverter at the precise spot in the wave form to ensure a transfer time of less than 16ms.

The Samlex America 2200 Watt Pure Sine Inverter/Charger EVO-2224 offers 3 times the surge power, with generous allowances for extended periods of high power usage. With its increased inverter capacity, you can opt for a smaller inverter to handle heavy surge loads, resulting in cost savings.
