This inverter utilizes split phase technology to connect to a standard household panel, delivering both 120 and 240 VAC power output.
AC Input
The AC input is versatile, as it can be used with a grid or generator without needing reconfiguration. It is also customizable for voltage and frequency by the user. You can set the thresholds for switching between Grid or Generator to Inverter, and starting the generator can be done through a "Status Relay" contact, with the option to activate it in case of grid outage.
Solar Input
Integrate a 48V MPPT solar charge controller with the EVOTM through the 100 Amp external DC Input for seamless solar charging. The EVO's power system can prioritize Batteries/Inverter over the grid in ONLINE Mode, making it perfect for solar-powered operation (even when the grid is costly but available).
Battery Charger
Utilizing a 3 or 4 stage charging process, including an Equalization stage that must be manually initiated, this inverter/charger utilizes an adaptive algorithm during the Bulk stage to assess the condition of lead-acid batteries.
The subsequent stages are then determined by the condition of the battery, rather than pre-set time periods for Absorption and Float. This not only prevents unnecessary charging, but also extends the overall lifespan of the batteries. Additionally, users have the ability to program specific voltage thresholds to initiate charging, with specific customizable options available for Lithium-ion batteries.
Transfer Switch
Experience seamless power transfer with the Samlex 4200 Watt, 120/240 VAC Split Phase 48V Inverter/Charger EVO-4248SP. Whether switching from the inverter to the grid or vice versa, the zero transfer time ensures a smooth and uninterrupted transition. The inverter synchronizes with the wave form, resulting in a <16ms transfer time.
Additionally, the transfer relay seamlessly switches to the inverter at the appropriate point on the wave form, preventing any power disruptions in the event of a grid loss. As an industry expert, trust in the reliable and efficient performance of this inverter/charger.
Surge Capacity (Power Boost)
The EVOTM provides a 3X surge power capacity for high surge loads on start-up, including compressors and refrigerators. It also offers power overload allowances for short periods of time, which decrease as the duration of the overload increases. This increased inverter capacity, known as "Active Power Boost," allows for a smaller inverter to handle heavy surge loads, ultimately reducing costs.
State-of-the-Art Technology
The EVOTM boasts an impressive performance of 165 million instructions per second, resulting in rapid load and responses times. It is engineered with 9 points of physical protection and constantly monitored for adverse conditions at a rate of 10,000 scans per second. With its "Bullet-Proof Intelligence," the EVOTM ensures a safe shutdown before any potential product damage.
To gather detailed performance data, the EVO-RC-PLUS remote control (sold separately) can be used to record all detected faults and their preceding conditions on a removable 32GB SD Card. Additionally, the EVOTM strategically utilizes five temperature sensors to optimize its two speed-controlled cooling fans, reducing unnecessary noise and energy consumption.
